Vaccine update – Don’t miss out
The Government announced this week that adults with a learning disability will join priority group 6 under the vaccination programme. This means that people with a learning disability should receive an invitation to come in for their vaccination in the next few weeks.

Also people with Down’s Syndrome are in priority group 4 and should have been invited for their vaccination by now. If you have Down’s Syndrome and haven’t received your invitation, please contact your GP to let them know. To ensure people with a learning disability are invited for their vaccination at the right time it is vital that they are registered as having a learning disability with their GP. If you don’t know whether you are on the register, you can contact your GP to find out. If you need to register, Mencap have produced this template letter for you to fill in and send to your GP.
